Aresearch On Fostering And Developing The Clusters In Jiaxing Region

Due to the impressive contribution to the regional and national economy, the rapid growth of industrial cluster has attracted world-wide attention. As a basic and important force of the regional economy, a healthy growth of industrial cluster featuring specialized process and coordinative effect is irreplaceable and vital to a better development of regional economy.This paper intends to give a theoretical analysis by giving a description of the links between industrial cluster and the economic development in Jiaxing region, the current environment of the regional economic development and an analysis on evaluation and quantity ranking of the regional economy through scientific, systematic, applicable means. And a comparison between development of the industrial cluster in Jiaxing and that in Suxichang Region is adopted to predict the ways to build Jiaxing an advanced manufacture base by developing the regional industrial cluster.During the 11th Five-Year-Plan, it is our common goal to build Jiaxing a new industrialized city with advanced manufacture and four developed key industrial clusters and to meet the standard of the international industrial cluster. The following four points shall be considered as guidelines. Firstly, emphasis shall be laid on industrial park and investment invitation, two important elements for the making of an industrial base; secondly, a service network shall be built to upgrade the competitiveness of the industrial cluster. Thirdly, a step-up of both scale and competence of corporations as members of the industrial cluster will play a positive role in the overall development of the industrial cluster; Last but not the least, a relevant network of public policy is supposed to be built as it will provide a better environment for the industrial cluster growth.
