GUANGXI has twelve nationalities, ethnic population occupied forty percent of total population , which is the most ethnic areas. At present, these ethnic areas as the result of the history, culture and so on, most of them are under the poor backward conditions. If we want to change such situation, the economical development is the key. The village fair is main place of the ethnic area's farmers sell their own product, exchange for the goods of production and life, which is also the important place of purchasing agricultural product and sale handicrafts for the merchants. It plays the vital role of promotion the interflow of commodities, satisfies the needs of the production and the life. The village fair holds on in the fixed place which transportation is convenience and has many people for about every three or five days. The neighbor farmers catch up with on time, help supply each other. The reasons on society, history, culture enable the ethnic area's market more bearings more on non-economical functions such as society and cultural. This research synthetically using the methods of "participate observation ","depth interview" and "history document research" and mainly using the theory of the existentialist thought in economical anthropology which stands on the ethnology and anthropology angle, to research on XIAYI YAO city's change, type,function and the significance which carries on the thorough analysis and the research. Tries hard through the research on cultural, do some meager strength on local economical development, and provides the new materials on the research of ethnology and anthropology.
