Study On The Development Of Changchun's MICE Tourism

MICE tourism, one of the prevalent tourism types, having great economic and social potentiality and favorable development prospects, is called "gem on the imperial crown" and has become a spotlight of tourism development and tourism academic research.Changchun is a MICE tourism city with strongest influence power of China in 2006, and the MICE industry has become one of the important industries of Changchun. The development of MICE industry has also brought the tourist industry new opportunity. As one of the first national outstanding tourist cities, Changchun has abundant natural and human tourist resources and has the advantages to develop MICE toursim.The paper first redefines the concept and content establishing the theoretical foundation for following research, then takes the Changchun MICE tourism as the object and the relevant materials and data collected as the foundation of study, does reserches on the development conditions, product designing, development pattern and development measures, makes the content system of MICE tourism abundant at present. The paper is divided into five parts:Part One concludes the development process of MICE in home and abroad, and reveals some inner characteristics of MICE, such as significance, features, affecting factors on the foundation of studying the definition of MICE; Part Two makes an objective analysis on each condition of the Changchun's MICE with relevant materials collected and puts forward four main problems existing in Changchun's MICE at present; Part Three and Part Four are the core of the paper, Part Three explores the development of the products of Changchun's MICE from three aspects which are the development principles, the development tactics and the design of seven brands of Changchun's MICE; Part Four discusses the space development pattern and the market operation pattern of Changchun's MICE; The last part puts forward some measures to promote Qingdao MICE's development.
