Positivism Study On The Competitive Power Of The Agro-processing Industry In Jilin Province

The agro-processing is regarded as a sunrise industry in the world. The processing is closely related to agriculture, industry and circulation, and is significant in connecting the industrialization management of agriculture and the development of country industry. Therefore, it plays an important role in adjusting agricultural structure, increasing peasants'income and promoting country economic development.In resent years, the agro-processing industry in Jilin province steps into a period of rapid development under the motivation of market regulation mechanism and policy, relying on the resource advantage. It plays an important role in improving the comprehensive producing capacity of agriculture, accelerating transformation of the growth pattern in agriculture, developing modern agriculture and building up new socialist countryside. Besides, agro-processing industry, which is one of three supporting enterprises paralleling with auto and chemistry industries, has become a new growth point in promoting agricultural efficiency, increasing peasants'income, prospering countryside economy and the hope in the development of agriculture and rural areas. The development of agro-processing industries have made noticeable achievements and accumulated much experience through years of exploration. However, it needs to be further researched because of the limitations.Adopting the theories of"comparative advantages"and"competitive advantages"and based on the reality of Jilin Province, the paper expounds on the connotation and basis of competitiveness of agro-processing industry and the establishment of evaluation index system in the competitiveness of agro-processing industry. The paper also makes a positivism analysis of the competitiveness of leading enterprises in the whole agro-processing industry. Based on the analysis of the developing reality of the agro-processing industry in Jilin Province, the paper puts forward the factors and strategies that condition the competitiveness improvement of agro-processing industry in Jilin Province so as to shed light on the project of revitalizing the traditional industry base of Jilin Province. The conclusions are as follows. The agro-processing has become an advantageous industry in Jilin Province and has possessed the basis for competition. However, if the agro-processing in Jilin Province wants to compete in our country or even in the world, it should abide by the principles of comparative advantages and competitive advantages. The market and policy should be guided positively to enhance the competitiveness of agro-processing.
