It is indubitable that science and technology promotes the agricultural and ruraldevelopment intensely as the first productive forces. However, China's contribution rate ofscientific and technological progress in agriculture is only 45%, compared with the averagelevel of 75%in developed countries, the gap is not optimistic. The National AgriculturalScience and Technology Innovation Conference which held on July 2006 made thedecision that the contribution rate of scientific and technological progress in agricultureshould strive to achieve 63%before 2020. Faced with the above challenge and grim realitythat is the diversity of the small-scale-manage household and the deviation of thetarget-guidance in technology research and extension institution, It is extremely importantand necessary to research households' behavior about technology-chosen and transition. This research which embarked from the households demands, taking the pear treeplanters in Hebei Province as the research object and taking the pear tree's productiontechnology as the study carrier, has analyzed the technology-chosen behaviors ofhouseholds in agricultural technology diffusing with empirical method. Through analyzingthe actual state and change trend of households' scientific and technical behavior, researching the households' technology demands choose, it mainly refines four kinds ofinfluence factors from the interior and exterior aspects of households, the four kinds ofinfluence factors are as follow: households' characters, effects of technology, capacity oftechnology supplying and circumstances. The research combined qualitative andquantitative analysis, academic and empirical analysis, development and comparativeanalysis. Firstly, the research adopts SPSS to analyze the different demands of thehouseholds and influence factors, describing statistic and literal data. Secondly, it empiricalstudied the households' behavior of main counties which produce pear trees in HebeiProvince on the base of sociological and agronomic theories. Lastly, it also unifies othermethods such as the comparative analysis, the historical development analysis and so on.The main conclusions are as follows:1 Small household have "relative rationality" under the background of socializedproduction restricted by multiple factors; the target of their production is pursuing themaximum profit with minimized risks. 2 In interior characteristic, agricultural acreage directly affects the type of households'technical demand and choice.3 The technical effects and objective risk remarkably affect household's technicalchoice behavior through function to the households' interior characteristic.4 Based on farmers' demand, the developing direction of rural practical technology isbiological technologies which integrate the advantage of sustainable and economy.5 An effective strategy to change households' behavior is that improving their qualityand external environment for the same time.Revolves the above main conclusions, the research gave some correspondingsuggestions: Adopts strategy which faces the small socialized household to establishfarmer-centered mechanism of technology development, harmonizing the benefit ofcorrelation community-the technical research organization, extension department and thehouseholds. At the same time, optimize the household's behavior to form positive terminaluser system, subsequently solve the problem from households' angle.
