In recent years, more and more electric enterprises of design or construct begin to take on the engineering general contract of electric power projects, they not only develop general contract operation of domestic, but also bear lots of general contract projects of overseas, especially in south-east country which need more electric power, the employers are glad to adopt the general contract mode. In the ngineering general contract of electric power projects, due to the employer has to bear various of complicated risks, and most of domestic enterprise taking on general contract project of electric power, which are small scale and limited strength and little experience, have difficulty in finishing projects, although they sometimes complete the projects, they acquire little profits or suffer a lot of loss.Based on analyzing the characters, elementary model and range, risk discriminating process of the electric engineering general contract, the paper studies the risk mainly being in engineering general contract, and discussess the risk evaluation and control about engineering general contract, then combining with some civil instances of engineering general contract, it objectively analyzes the risks in the projects. It considers that the political or policy risk is an important factor in the civil engineering general contract of electric power, also, the demands about environment-protection and the policy of housebreaking have crucial effect on the project.By the paper's study, it aims to discuss the variety of risk which will be fell across by project general contractor of electric power at currently circumstance of politic, market and humanity.
