The research about land-use change and its driving forces is an important part of global LUCC research, which can great help us to understand the essential land-use change and predict the developing trend of land-use change. Ji-xi city is the main coal production base and commodity grain production base in Heilongjiang province. With the continuous economic development and coal resource decrease, and there is no relative research results are appeared about Ji-xi city, so it is very important to study on the land-use change and its environment effects in Ji-xi.Base on other researchers, using multivariate statistical analysis and econometrics, taking Ji-xi as its research object, analyses land use situation in Ji-xi using social-economic statistical datura. The main contents are following:Firstly, using land datum in Ji-xi analyses land-use current situation and its change from 1995 to 2005, the results show that the land resource is non-uniform in different region, and land-use is balanced.Secondly, using multivariate statistical analysis and SPSS software, choosing some relative social-economic indexes analyses the driving force of land-use change. The results show that the main driving forces are economic development, rising of living standards and coal resource and so on. And there are some causation between driving forces and land area.Thirdly, constructing Markov chain forecasts the land-use in the future. In recent ten years the land will keep balanced, and in long time there will be many cultivated land and forestry land become other lands.Fourthly, give some advice for Ji-xi land sustainable development.
