Study On "Employ Young Labor Tendency" And Its Impact On Peasant Worker

The supply of China's rural surplus labors was always thought to be unlimited. But at the beginning of the year 2004, peasant worker shortage phenomenon appeared on a lot of enterprises in Coastal areas; especially the shortage of the young and robust rural youth labor was enormous. Meanwhile, a great quantity of above 40-year-old peasant workers were abandoned by their enterprises and forced to withdraw from the city labor market, just because they were old and their physical power had come down."Employ young labor tendency"phenomenon appeared on peasant worker labor market. Then, what's the cause of"employ young labor tendency"? What may this phenomenon affect to the peasant worker and national economy develop? ... ... This paper tried to analyze these from the angles of government, enterprise, peasant worker etc.Firstly, the national data, the Jiangsu province's data, and some reports are used to demonstrate that when hire peasant workers"employ young labor tendency"phenomenon was really exist in our country. Later, the paper summarized the concept and connotation of the new phenomenon"employ young labor tendency".Secondly, the cause of"employ young labor tendency"is analyzed. The conclusion was, under the excessive supply background, peasant worker's partial low quality, government's inefficient ensures, enterprise's extravagant use, peasant worker family's labor supply behavior etc commonly lead to the phenomenon of"employ young labor tendency".Thirdly, Todaro model, Human capital theory etc theory implement are used to analyze the impact of"employ young labor tendency"over the supply of peasant worker, peasant worker's quality, peasant worker's income and consumption and peasant worker's citizenship etc.Lastly, some policy suggestions are put forward.
