A Study On The Development Mode Of Heilongjiang Leading Industry Based On Industry Cluster

Leading industry is the driving power of modern economy and the core of forming a region's rational industry structure. Superior or inferior of a region's industry structure is one of the most important signs to measure the quality and level of a region's economic development. Meanwhile, the optimization process of a region's industry structure is also the process to choose leading industry as well. Therefore, by giving full play to leading industry's function, it will bring along the development of many other industrial segments and then promote the development of whole regional economy with a higher speed.As a space economic phenomenon, industry cluster has been playing a more and more important role in regional economic development. To start from analyzing the external economic features of industry cluster, this dissertation systematically analyzes the current situations and problems existed for Heilongjiang Province's dominant industries to realize cluster development. Based on this, the dissertation makes an approach to the effective development model of"led by large enterprise to form a network with those small & medium-sized enterprises"by using industry cluster theory, with a hope to promote regional economic development by through enterprises'cluster strategy to magnify"multiplier effect".Firstly, this dissertation systematically summarizes the industry cluster theories. Industry cluster is essentially a concept of interdisciplinary and multi-angle of view, the research of industry cluster always follows the main stream of labor's division and scale remuneration growth. Meanwhile, the dissertation expounds the connotation of leading industry and points out that current research of leading industry mainly focuses on the selection of leading industry, with less attention towards the concrete development mode of leading industry. So this dissertation tries to study the development mode of Heilongjiang Province's leading industry on the basis of industry cluster theories. Secondly, this dissertation expounds the current development situations of Heilongjiang Province's leading industry and points out the main problems existed of Heilongjiang Province's industry such as weak regional specialization, whole competitiveness's weakening, which leads to the convergence of regional industry structure. After that, this dissertation makes an economic analysis of Heilongjiang leading industry's cluster development with two angles of structural analysis and organizational analysis, takes petrochemical industry of Heilongjiang Province as an example to study how to promote the competitiveness of regional leading industry by using M. Porter's"Competitive Advantage Theory", and comes up with relevant policy suggestions. At last, this dissertation puts forward the strategic choice of development mode for Heilongjiang Province's leading industry.
