The Development Of Producer Service And The Structure Upgrade Of Manufacturing Industry

Manufacturing is the economic backbone of a nation, its development level has direct impact on a nation's economic standard. So it is economically significant for a nation to upgrade its manufacturing structure and accelerate the development of manufacturing .Producer service is part of the service industry which is directly or indirectly used by manufacturing industry .internationally ,those services are commonly considered as producer service if over 50% output of such services are used by manufacture industry. Since the 80's of last century, producer service has gained large improvements, their position in the national economy has become more important than ever, many country's economy has experienced the process of"servilization". The academic circle naturally conducted large volume of studies on producer service.Since the opening policy was adopted, China's manufacturing has gained tremendous development. But it still lacks competitiveness, the output of manufacturing is the products of low value and low scientific contents. Traditionally, when it comes to such academic subjects as how to upgrade the manufacturing structure to accelerate the development of manufacturing industry, the Chinese scholars and researchers usually study this subject from inside the manufacturing industry itself .Some searches include increasing efficiency by changing the structure of governance .Others rely on the power of central government's macro-control to promote the development of manufacturing industry. Such analysis are true to some extent. But another important factor is that the backward development of producer service cannot meet the demand of the manufacturing industry .The evolution of three industries not only expressed in the increase or decrease of certain industry's ratio against GDP, that is to say ,the agriculture's ratio against GDP decreases continuously ,the manufacturing's ratio against GDP increases at first ,and then decreases ,the tertiary industry's ratio against GDP has been increasing all the time ,no signs of decreases have been observed yet. On the other hand, there is a harmonious inter-beneficial relationship existing between the three industries. Although Producer derives from manufacturing industry, it is the result of labor division and the further extention of value chain of manufacturing industry. But on the other hand, producer service also can improve the manufacturing industry .Producer service can promote industry cluster innovation, increase the value of manufacturing products and reduce manufacturing transaction fees. Currently, the status quo of China's producer service lags behind developed countries, especially on professional scientific and business service .The backwardness of China's producer service has resulted in the low level of industry cluster, low valued products and high cost of manufacturing enterprises .So it has important meaning to develop China's producer service. First, we should put emphasis on producer theoretically and mentally, then accelerate the development of industry association, absorb foreign capital, complete the infrastructure and develop the human resource.
