Because of major animal diseases ceaseless breaking out and food safty events frequent happening all over the world, the traceability of animal and animal products become the hotspot worldwide. Developed countries have constituted regulations and implement the market admittance system. And the international organizations have constituted relevant rules and suggestions about this. But when comes to the construction of stockbreeding traceability system in our country, especially the swine production, there are lots of objections in many aspects. In the face of truth that traceability request may become a new barriers of international trade, we must build our traceability system of swine production which can not only conform with the international rules but also be suitable for our situation.The paper expatiates on the developing actuality of swine production, the definitions of traceability and traceability system, the development and inevitability of it; and introduces the work pulse of international organizations, research into the traceability system of the developed countries. What's more important, it analyzes the situation and problems of traceability in our country and gives some suggestions that we should pay attention to the work pulse of international organizations , use for reference of developed countries'successful experiences, ensure the key factors and contents based on risk analysis, build up establishment register system and identification information database. And at last it designed a traceability system of swine and swine products which bases on the risk analysis and can conform with the international and domestic requires as well.
