On The Interaction Mechanism Between Technological Progress And Industry Evolution

Technology and economy are two aspects that exist simultaneously in the material production of the society. They are the entity in the modern society, which cannot be separated from each other in the realization of any productive process. Generally the representation of the national economy is industry, so the relationship between the technology and the economy is that between technology and industry. In reality, that technology and industry react and develop has become an undoubted fact. In the viewpoint of philosophy and guided by systemic view, based on the related theories of philosophy of technology and industry, and on the internal and external histories of technology, the dissertation tries to explore the interaction between technological progress and industry evolution and tries to unfold the "black box" between technology and industry and distinguish their mechanism.The dissertation can be divided into three parts. The first part, based on the relevant research, from the concept of the technology and industry, their essence and internal connections is explored. On one hand, from the essence of technological progress, following the direction of economic development, the factors and the model of technological progress are distinguished. On the other hand, from the theory of industry development, the essence and general model are analysed, which tries to understand the laws of industry evolution and pursue the role of technology.The second part, the interaction mechanism between technological progress and industry evolution is analysed. First, the mechanism of technological progress promoting industry evolution is analysed which tries to distinguish its process. Then, the mechanism of industry evolution, which promotes technological progress, is analysed in detail.The third part, it comes to the conclusions and the possible further studies.There exists a restricting-and-promoting mechanism between technological progress and industry evolution. One forces the other to transform the structure and achieve a qualitative change by changing the nature of the elements of the other. The whole evolution shows a tendency of spiral advancement.
