A Study On The Capability Of Technological Innovation Of WISCO

This thesis focuses on the capability of technological innovation of WISCO. The significances of this thesis include three aspects. Firstly, we analyze the actualities of capability of technological innovation of WISCO. Secondly, how do these actualities influence the company? Thirdly, author got some conclusions and implications which would be very useful for WISCO. Specifically, author divided the capability into four aspects, namely capability of R&D investment, capability of R&D, capability of new product marketing and capability of organization. Furthermore, the capability of R&D includes research outlay, capability of the stuff and equipment condition. The capability of R&D includes motivation of project, the channels of gathering information, the difficulties of R&D and the differentiation of new product. The capability of new product marketing includes communication forms with users, the channels of gathering information of market and relative technical services. The capability of organization includes the strategy of technological innovation, guideline of project and motivation of working. In order to study these critical aspects, author took the method of deep interview. First of all, we have a primary interview with technological innovation departments to know about the system of technological innovation. And then, we design a structured interview outline according to the actuality of WISCO and framework. After that, we chose 11 senior project directors to have deep interviews. Finally, we analyze the result of interview and statistics of frequency. Through these studies, we find that WISCO have many advantages in the stage of laboratory, and have many disadvantages in the stage of product line, which will result in quality problems.
