The Strategy Of Urban-industry Development In Chenghua District

Industrialization is the motivation and support for modern economy and social development, an inevitable step towards modernization. In the Seventeenth National Party Congress, attendants proposed clearly that we should speed up optimizing the mode of economic development and upgrading the structure of industry to insist on the path towards the new industrialization with Chinese characteristics. Chenghua district, as the central area in Chengdu, a western metropolis, is meeting the historical opportunity that Chengdu is sanctioned as a National comprehensive reform trial place of coordinating the development of urban and rural areas. Also it's time for the restructuring and upgrading of world industry structure. Under such circumstances, the primary attention should be given to how to accelerate the development of urban—industry and how to develop industry in a scientific way, which also meet the needs of completing the task of coordinating the urban and rural development, and realizing the scientific development in politics, economy, culture and society.This article mainly explores and testifies the strategy of urban—industry development in Chenghua district. First of all, it analyzes the major factors which influence the economic development of Chenghua's industry through the present status. Secondly, on the basis of analysis above, SWOT method is used to analyze the advantage, disadvantage, opportunity and risk of developing urban—industry in Chenghua district. And according to some theory of urban development, the author promotes a comprehensive strategic policy of Chenghua's urban—industry development, including development ideas, aims, principles and arrangement. Then in accordence with the general principles of Development Economy and Application Economy, the author probes into a deeper research on industrial carriers and important occupations, especially a deep analysis of the exploration and development of Longtan urban—industrial region. Finally, in order to guarantee the implement of development strategy, major insurance measures are proposed from other aspects, such as investment of environment and policy system and so on.The research method used to analyze and testify in this article combine theory and practice together. During the research, the author consults a great number of references, conducts on-the-spot investigation, and so on. Therefore, the article represents a useful efforts for the development of urban—industry in Chenghua district.
