The Research On The Influence Of Export Works On Energy Consumption In Our Country

In recent years,China's export expands continually,at the mean time,energy consumption has increased dramatically.With the growing tension of energy supply,energy has becomed the restriction to the development of economy. As China's export commodities include in a large number of indirect energy consumption, therefore,it has an important theoretical and practical significance to have a study on the influence of export on energy consumption.This article bases on the panel data of the east 11 province from 1995-2006,having empirical analysis on the relationship between China's export and energy consumption through the test of panels unit root,cointegration and error correction model,measuring the elastic coefficient and testing the long and short-term causal relationship.The results shows that export has a notable influence on energy consumption ,but also constrainted to it.There exists long-run equilibrium between export and energy consumption,both causal to the other.After macro analysis on the influence of export toward energy consumption,we reference the study of foreign scholar about the effect model of export on enviroment ,selecting the date about export and energy consumption in 14 major export sectors of the industry between 2000-2006, by calculating the coefficient of energy consumption industries and other indicators to have a study on the structure,technology and scale effect of export.The results shows that the structure of China's export is unreasonable ,the changes in the structure of export do not develop in the direction towards low energy consumption; Technological progress to reduce energy consumption, but the contribution is still too small;Export growth in the scale cause dramatical increasement of energy used in the export commodities,The technical effect is far not enough to offset the scale effect.Finally, according to the results of the empirical analysis ,we analyze the reason why the export lead to a rapid increasement of energy consumption,and put forward relevant proposals.
