Land Use Change Study Of Urban Fringe In Last Ten Years

Great land use changes have taken place in Beijing because of social-economic development, rapid urbanization and industrialization during the past 20 years especially the past 10 years. Taking Baipenyao in Huaxiang as an example, the paper focuses on the land use change of agriculture land use during the past 10 years and its driving forces.First, basing on the data from the map, and field study, the paper represents the change of land use pattern and change process in Baipenyao using landscape ecological approach. The total area of agriculture land use is decreased. The structure of agriculture landuse and the agriculture produce way, as well as the production process are greatly changed.Then the paper put forward the driving forces of agriculture land use change through a great deal of statistical data and analysis. The direct driving forces include land requisition, farmland transaction, and the farmers changing structure of agriculture landuse and the agriculture produce way on their own initiative. The indirect driving forces include urbanization, industrialization, the development of agriculture and the policy system.
