The Study On Science And Technology Competitiveness In Regional Development Of Jiangsu Province

The seedtime and the characteristic of Jiangsu Province, determine that current economic increase mode can not adapt the demand of society and economy development. Jiangsu Province needs to seek for new increase motive power and to create new competitive edge. It is indispensable to liberate and develop science and technology competitiveness. Therefore, this paper investigates science and technology competitiveness in regional development of Jiangsu Province. It analyses the theory of science and technology competitiveness, defines the meaning of science and technology competitiveness, and emphasizes the necessity of science and technology competitiveness. At different levels, it analyses the advantage and the shortage of science and technology competitiveness of Jiangsu Province. I strive to find the developmental way that adapts to Jiangsu Province.It can be divided into 4 parts. Firstly, the investigation status quo is analysed, by comparative advantage, economics of development, industrial economics, comparative economics, and econometrics. And then it expounds the meaning, the system of value index, method of value of science and technology competitiveness. Secondly, at angle of congenital resource, industrial structure and economic globalization, it is necessary to advance science and technology competitiveness. Thirdly, it selects a set of index system and methods of value, and opens out advantages and disadvantages at angle of whole China, Yangtze River delta and 13 cities of Jiangsu Province. Lastly, it induces countermeasures from institutional innovation, combining production, learning and investigation, fostering technological agency.
