Research On Structural Trend Between Labor Demand And Supply In The Eastern Region Of China

In recent years, with the rapid development of the economy, our comprehensive national power has been enhanced gradually.However, the rapid development both in society and in economy also brings about some problems, such as conflicts of labor force between supply and demand. As a developing country, China has to face such difficuties that the strong labor supply comes with the limited job opportunities. In addtion to the amount gap between labor supply and demand, there are some structural imbalances, for example, the number of idle or partly idle workers are large, but the employers can not find the appropriate employees.The structural imbalances between labor supply and demand have a more important impact on the economy of our country. It is shown that industrial restructuring is one critical factor caused structural contradiction between supply and demand. In future, the industrial restructuring will take on resource operation from extensive form to intensive form, production from general machining and assembly to high-end technology, and the economy growth from state corporation to private enterprises. Therefore, the research on the structural trend between labor supply and demand based on the industrial restructuring is significance to the practice.China's economic development is typically characterized by an imbalance in regional development. Both the industrial structure and the labor supply and demand for the eastern region have different performance characteristics from the central and western regions. Eastern region, which has strong economy and absorbs a large labor force transferred from the central and western regions, is leading the development of the entire national economy. So the paper selects the eastern region as orientation, studying the eastern part of the structural readjustment of the industrial structure changes in labor supply and demand. On the basis of the analysis of historical conditions, the paper combines with the next period of the changes in China's macroeconomic environment to explore the changes in the industrial structure, analyzs and forecasts the trend of amount and structure of labor supply and demand.This paper is divided into four parts, the first part of the review of existing theory and research about structure of labor supply and demand, and relation between the industrial structure and labor supply and demand. The second part is the main of paper. Firstly, the historical research on the eastern region and the industrial structure changes in labor demand trend is taken on. Then, using the influenced factors in the industrial structure to analyze the trend of industrial structure, the paper forecasts the demand for labor in the coming period of change. The third part gives a detailed analysis of the historical changes in the structure of the eastern region's labor supply situation and forecasts the trend of labor supply. It is found that contradictions exist in the structure of labor supply and demand for the eastern region. Fourthly, Combining the contradictions in structure of labor supply and demand in the eastern region with the mature experience of some developed countries, the paper takes some suggestions from the industry, the labor demand, the labor supply and other aspects.
