| Information Technique can improve the operational efficiency, flexibility and create new competitive advantages for enterprises. Along with the constant developing of information technology, IT has been paid more and more enterprise's attention. It is so exciting to find that a large number of IT projects in China have launched the implementation, but the actual results are often unsatisfactory. China's 2001 statistics show that less than 30% of IT projects get success.This paper provides deep discussion about IT project risk identification, based on extensive research on both natinal and international material, the benefit includes better IT project risk identification for enterprise, thus better strategy can be employed for better sucess rate.Through discussions with experienced project managers and based on previous researches of IT project risks management, this paper concludes 128 risk factors throughout the whole lifecycle of IT projects in a company. After a second survey with people relevant to corporate IT projects, I fatherly summarized 57 major risk factors. After that, I conducted a survey with customer reprehensive or senior executives of companies which have implemented IT projects costing over 10,000 Yuan within 2 years. The people being surveyed needed to evaluate the implementation status of their projects in terms of all 57 risk factors.Finally I sum it up with 10 biggest risk factors of IT projects in China companies through analyzing the survey data. Meanwhile, I also tried to research on internal structure adjustments of those risk factors and quantitatively calculate the return-relationship between risk factors and projects'results. |
