The Evaluation And Choices Of Route Of Sustainable Utilization Of Land Resources For Yichang

Land, the foundation of the mankind survival and economic development, is a kind of valuable resources and wealth as well as the fundamental source of social productivity. The land resources must be used efficiently and continuously because of the nature of irreplaceability and scarcity. China is a country with a large population, scarce land resources in some areas, and many contradictions between human beings and land resources. Many scholars have done researches on the issue of sustainable utilization of land resources from the concept, evaluation indicator system and the achieving perspective.The thesis focuses on the land resources of Yichang on basis of the sustainable theoretical study, establishing an evaluation system of sustainable utilization according to the conditions and present status of the utilization of land resources, caring out data analysis and comparative study about the utilization conditions and current status. It introduces three indicators. They are resources environment indicators, economic indicators and social indicators, making out the figures of indicators and the value of weight by using a combination analysis approach of fixed-nature and fixed-quantity hierarchy process. And then the level of sustainable utilization of land resources of Yichang is calculated by the way of evaluation system formula of sustainable utilization of urban land resource. In 1999, the data of the level of sustainable utilization of land resources for Yichang is 72.68. It's in the sustainable development stage. In 2003, the level is 79.26, which shows the basic stage of sustainable use. The thesis discusses the reasons for the low utilization level of land resources and the obstacles of achieving sustainable utilization of Yichang. Finally we put forward the route choices of the sustainable utilization stage for Yichang.
