A Study Of Non-Agricultural Employment Of Rural Labors In Jiangxi

Employment is the basis of people's lives and farmers' employment is a major economic and social issue in our country. After joining the WTO, How to create more non-agricultural employment opportunities become a prominent problems in increasing farmers, agricultural income is facing tremendous growth resistance. It is not difficult to imagine, when agricultural income reduce, the rural labors may turn to non-agricultural employment and the work time will re-allocate between the agricultural and non-agricultural to make up for the decline in revenue. In China's development trend in the income of farmers, the proportion of non-agricultural income is more and more bigger which constitute the main part in the growth of farmers' income in recent years, Non-agricultural income comes mainly from the non-agricultural employment, therefore, promoting Non-agricultural employment become an important way to increase farmers' income.Jiangxi is a great agriculture and population Province whose Governments and relevant departments have taken various measures to promote the transfer of rural labor and non-agricultural employment and have made some constructive experience, but the whole effect and the process is not obvious. Based on the review of Jiangxi non-agricultural employment of rural labor's development, through summarizing the theories and experience of non-agricultural employment inour country and other counties,comprehensivly studying on the truth of non-agricultural employment in Jiangxi and the investigation on the farmers in there representative villages in Jiangxi,the article analyse the major factors impacting the non-agricultural employment in Jiangxi on Macro-and micro-level,in the end,the article gives the potential space in developing non-agricultural employment and the policies and recommendations to advance the non-agricultural employment in Jiangxi province's villages.The research framework is structured as follow : The full text is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces the background, objective,methodology, technology line of the research, reviews the fruits in shift of the rural labor and non-agricultural employment research in and out of our country; Chapter II defines and analyses the relative theories and concepts of the non-agricultural employment, summarizes the theory of non-agricultural employment of domestic and foreign scholars; Chapter III introduces the more influential model theories in the development of non-agricultural employment at home and abroad, analyses the characterstics and epecific measures for developing non-agricultural employment in different aeras,so as to provide experience for Jiangxi to develop non- agricultural employment; Chapter VI analyses the status of non-agricultural employment of rural labor in Jiangxi, summarizes the historical stage,the reality situation and characteristics of the non-agricultural employment of rural labor in Jiangxi, evaluates the results of non-agricultural employment on economic and political aspects. Chapter V analyses the factors impacting non-agricultural employment on Macro-and micro-level, potential employment space, part of Jiangxi farmers in the villages visited, and a questionnaire survey help chart the farmers of all non-agricultural employment, discuss the development trends of the transfer of the rural workforce in the future; Chapter VI gives the policy recommendations for underdeveloped areas to develop non-agricultural employmentof rural labors.
