Human resource is the most active and most dynamic factor in production. Being as an insurance company, the focus in development is to establish a team of large-scale, structurally rational and high-quality personnel; to enable all kinds of personnel to fully play their enthusiasm, initiative and creativity; and to improve the human resource management system.This paper, at the beginning, analyses the current domestic and abroad research situation on the human capital and human resource theory, and gives an explanation of the relative theory. Next, it elaborates the human resource status in China's insurance industry. Through it, the paper analyzes the total volume and structure of human resource and the flow of talent in the industry. It takes the China Continent Property and Casualty Insurance Company as an example, and provides an analysis on the current situation of human resource in China's insurance industry. Finally, countermeasures of improving human resource management in insurance industry are illustrated out, which suggest the structural optimization measures among the following four aspects: to improve the system of staff recruitment, examination and selection; to establish the high-quality workforce; to strengthen staff career planning and to provide better atmosphere of staff incentive and personal development; to Set up effective performance evaluation so as to improve employees' work enthusiasm; to enhance the establishment of corporate culture so as to agglomerate the team of cadres and staff.
