This thesis is based on single case study of Varicut Corporation, a small private owned company newly established. Varicut Corporation engages in supplying industrial identification products to foreign invested EMS (electronics manufacturing service) companies in China. The founder of Varicut Corporation started his business from scratch in 2004 with just a simple machine in a small plant, neither had core technology nor obtained support from venture capital. However, the entrepreneurial company grew quickly and became supplier of world Top EMS companies. Case of Varicut Corporation just shows strategic management and choice is the key to success to newly established ventures.Utilizing single case study method, the thesis analyzes new venture strategy choice and strategy management of Varicut Corporation. The result of analysis verifies exploring theory which indicates the relationship between characteristics of entrepreneurial opportunity and new venture strategy choice. In addition, the thesis reiterates the dynamic adjustment of new venture strategy during entrepreneurial period as well as the importance of internal resource accumulation to sustain continuous competitive advantage. Finally, the thesis points out new venture strategy analysis plays an important role in managing a successful new venture. The thesis selects a Chinese entrepreneurial company as a case for a contribution to a further study of new venture strategy management in China.
