Entrepreneurial Orientation,Entrepreneurial Opportunity Exploitation And Performance Of New Venture

Entrepreneurship is an important engine to stimulate economic growth,increase employment and stimulate innovation.Driven by the strategy of "entrepreneurship and innovation",more and more entrepreneurs are engaged in entrepreneurial activities,and the whole country has formed a prosperous scene of innovation and entrepreneurship.As a new incubation platform for entrepreneurship,maker space has become the main carrier of the entrepreneur movement by integrating the innovation resources of the whole society,providing professional,personalized and convenient services for new ventures,effectively lowering the threshold of mass entrepreneurship,and becoming the main carrier of the entrepreneur movement.It has led to a significant improvement in innovation activity and entrepreneurial success rate,and has been highly concerned by the government and all sectors of the community.But,in practice,behind the explosive growth of the maker space,the problem of uneven performance of new ventures have been exposed,and the existing literature lacks in-depth research on the influence mechanism of the performance of new ventures stationed in maker space,so as to fail to provide practical and reliable guidance to new ventures.For this reason,this study selects the maker space as the research situation,takeing the new ventures stationed in the maker space as the research object,focusing on the core issue of "how do new ventures innovate and create better performance in the maker space",and specifically discussing two issues.First,the mechanism of entrepreneurial orientation affecting new venture performance,including how entrepreneurial orientation affects performance,and what entrepreneurial characteristics new ventures should cultivate and maintain in order to improve performance;what role does entrepreneurial opportunity development play in entrepreneurial orientation and new venture performance? Second,the boundary conditions of entrepreneurial orientation affecting new venture performance,that is,to explore how innovative support affects the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation,entrepreneurial opportunity development and entrepreneurial performance.Whether there aredifferences in the development of different types of entrepreneurial opportunities and the reasons for the differences.The main work is as follows:First of all,the existing domestic and foreign literature on entrepreneurial orientation,entrepreneurial opportunity development,new venture performance and innovation support of maker space are reviewed,the theoretical model is constructed,and the research hypothesis is put forward.Then,a questionnaire survey was conducted in many creative spaces in Zhejiang Province,and 157 valid questionnaires were collected.SPSS22.0statistical analysis software was used to analyze the data,and statistical methods such as reliability and validity test,correlation analysis and multiple linear regression were used.The proposed hypotheses have been tested and most of them have been confirmed.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Entrepreneurial orientation has a direct positive impact on new venture performance.New ventures should constantly enhance the innovation,risk-bearing and initiative of themselves and their teams.(2)There is an intermediary effect between entrepreneurial orientation and new venture performance in the development of entrepreneurial opportunities.(3)The support of maker space innovation plays a positive role in the process of transforming entrepreneurial orientation into imitation opportunity development and then to new venture performance.(4)The moderating effect of maker space's innovation support on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation,innovative opportunity development and new venture performance is not significant.The theoretical contribution of this study has two aspects:(1)the influence mechanism of start-up performance in maker space is explored perfectly.In the past,the research on maker space is mostly focused on the connotation,construction and operation,and the related quantitative research is relatively lacking.This paper combines the characteristics of start-ups with the situational characteristics of maker space.This paper establishes the theoretical model of "entrepreneurial orientation-entrepreneurial opportunity development-start-up performance",and takes the innovation support of maker space as the adjusting variable to reveal the important factors that affect the performance of start-up enterprises in an all-round way.(2)Previous studies on entrepreneurial opportunity development lack of focus on a specific situation,which mainly examines the impact of environmental dynamics or environmental uncertainty on the relationship betweenentrepreneurial success or failure.In view of the fact that maker space is a new type of entrepreneurial incubation platform,Supporting innovation is its remarkable characteristic.This paper chooses maker space as a new entrepreneurial situation,focuses on the role of maker support in the process of entrepreneurial opportunity development of new enterprises,and improves the theoretical research of entrepreneurial opportunity.This study is helpful to scientifically evaluate the impact of maker space on innovation and entrepreneurship at the present stage,provide optimization suggestions for the government and maker space operators.And it might be useful for new ventures to scientifically understand the role of maker space in the process of entrepreneurship,to choose the appropriate space.So as to promote new ventures and maker spaces to achieve mutual benefit and win-win.
