The materials supplies to SMT production line is a key step of logistics in SMT enterprises. In contrast to the automotive industry for JIT material supply model, the materials supplies to SMT production line is particularly the backward. The large quantities of supplies, the concentration of dumps, and the choice of materials, all this seriously hampers the SMT enterprises Lead Time and affects the enterprise's efficiency.Based on the analysis of the traditional SMT materials supply, this paper points out its shortcoming, such as the long time of supply Lead Time, the large amount of inventory and the waste of human and space. At the same time analyzing the Toyota production model and using Just in Time (Abbreviations: JIT) production theory, this paper proposes the application of JIT material supply model in the process of material supply of SMT production line and gives the general process and initial model of the implementation of JIT Supplies in SMT workshop. This paper makes an in-depth study in layout of SMT workshop, cyclical categories of materials and Pullback supplies. Through the application of this model in the SMT workshop, the Lead Time of supplies to production line has been shortened, the inventory levels has been lower and the needs of human and space has been reduced.Final, through the practical application of a SMT enterprise, its supplies Lead Time has been shortened and inventory has been lower, thereby the performance of JIT Supplies model in SMT workshop has been verified.
