Study On Design Management Model Of Constrcution Project In Large Scale Civil Airports

In current rush of domestic civil airport construction, both constructors and administrators of airport construction project should strictly put a hold on the size of investment amount and work progress on precondition of quality assurance. It is known to us all that designing work is the core of the overall project and the management of design work matters so much to work progress and quality control as it is a most straightforward, effective and low-cost. Therefore, how to set up an ideal project design management model and keep it running at high efficiency so as to guarantee a realization of"effective and efficient"goal of domestic civil airports construction remains to be a major topic of research.Based on an analysis of particular features of many large-scales civil airport construction projects, WBS in project design work, selection methods of designing institutions and relevant staff of design management team from each party, I am venturing in this essay to search for and build a design management model from the following four angels of project work progress, cost, quality and personnel training combining hand-on experience on design work management in Pudong Airport expansion project work. This essay will suggest a design work management model for current China civil airports constructions–an establishment of a multiple matrix design management model headed by project managers covering a project management centre, contracts, consulting bodies, assessment institutions (specialists pool) and"key functional designing general institute", governmental design approval offices, and each relevant parties in construction management.
