With the development of higher civil air transport, the government increases construction projects in large-scale airport by year, resulting in airport construction entered a new period of rapid development. However, due to the current level of project management is backward, and management model of project problems, leading to the goals of large-scale construction projects are not well realized, it includes progress goals, investment goals and quality goals.In order to meet the needs of airport construction and development, should establish a scientific and rational project management, strengthen the rational scientific decision and control of airport project owners, improve the level of project management, investment and social benefits. How to effectively exercise control over large-scale airport construction projects, is the core problems needed to solve in the current airport construction projects urgently.In this paper, to study management model of large-scale airport construction projects as the research object, by drawing on and carry forward the relevant management mode of project method from domestic and foreign, system analysis the characteristics and problems of the current management model of airport construction projects in our colleges and universities, and applying comprehensive project management theory, from the point view of the progress control, investment control and quality control in the large-scale airport construction projects, discussing and comparing the theory of airport construction project management and effective control method. This paper mainly includes the following:(1) Analysis the reality of the background of large-scale airport construction projects management, and summarize the literature research situation at home and abroad, put forward the research purpose and significance of articles, explain the basic concepts, and describes the research methods to be adopted.(2) Systematic analysis the control theory and methods commonly used in the management model of large-scale airport construction projects, and comprehensive analysis the current situation and problems of the management model of large-scale airport construction projects.(3) Context to the current management practice in large-scale airport construction projects. Respectively, from the management model of project organization, progress control, investment control and quality control to comparison and analysis of the management model for large-scale airport construction projects in detail.(4) According to the specific situation of our country and the requirements of the modern airport construction, and optimize the current management model. Explore the initial framework for the innovation management model of large-scale airport construction projects and the relevant control measures and methods.The main conclusions of this paper include the following:(1) Based on the management institutions of the large-scale airport project organization with its characteristics, must use matrix organization structure to organization and coordination, operation the whole construction project system, orderly and efficiently, to effectively control progress, investment and quality of airport projects.(2) Must combine with the institutional environment of large-scale airport construction projects, from increasing government support efforts, strengthening internal management, cost management, financial management and auditing the implementation of the entire process, to establish a scientific and reasonable investment control mechanism.(3) The need to the total project schedule as the basis, establishing the planning system of progress scientifically, optimizing schedule mechanism, controlling and analyzing key nodes, establishing effective control measures on progress, controlling the progress of the project dynamically.(4) Based on the improving quality consciousness and persisting the principle of quality first, the large-scale airport construction projects must establish a sound system of quality security and quality monitoring, forming comprehensive quality management model, control the quality of airport projects effectively.
