With the present situation that the population has been growing and the amount of the farmland has been reducing in the process of economic development, the more people and less farmland caused more conflicts which have become increasingly prominent, long-term shortage of land resources become the constraints of China's socio-economic development, and people's relations with farmland will become even more tense, food security problems will be even more severe. Enhance farmland's output per unit area is the key of addressing food security issues, and that is intensive use of farmland. Correctly handle the economic input and the relationship between the use of agricultural land to meet the present needs and future generations to leave space for the survival and development, achieve sustainable use of the extensive changes in land use patterns, and strive to realize the intensive use of agricultural land is to protect the economy sustainable social development and a reliable guarantee the conditions necessary to protect national food supply safe and stability and to strengthen the foundation of agriculture needs. Strengthen the reasonable use of the agricultural intensive use of limited agricultural land and improve efficiency of comprehensive utilization of agricultural land is of important significance.According to the research target, the paper, which is on the basis of the system, to define the connotation of the intensive use of agricultural land, and through construction of the intensive use of agricultural land evaluation index system, the intensive use of agricultural land will be divided into farmland and into strength and extent of farmland use, Agricultural land use efficiency, agricultural and agro-ecological environment and natural quality of five components. The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1) Based on the previous research the paper has got the construction of the intensive use of agricultural land theoretical system, and scientific definition the content of the intensive use of agricultural land, that is, for different regions, different levels of natural quality of farmland, through the increase in land investment and improve management, give full play to the potential use of land to promote the orderly land use and intensification, to achieve increased rate of land utilization and output, improve production and living conditions and ecological environment in the process.
