Social Capital And Research Of The Growth Of Western Region Industry Cluster

Under the economic globalization, industrial clusters are regarded as an effective form of industry organization, which can enhance regional industrial competitiveness. Many factors have an effect on industrial cluster. Social capital plays an important role in the growth of industrial cluster. The density of network has an important impact on accessing social capital. With an illustrative example that is paper industrial cluster in Binyang county, this paper analyze social capital situation in the course of the growth of western industrial clusters, and finds that the social capital is lack, such as trust, communication, standard. These deficiencies affect the ability that the enterprises have access to resources in the western industrial cluster, and have an ill effect on cluster innovation capability, and also increase the transaction of enterprise in the cluster. The growth of western industrial clusters is influenced for the lack of social capital. Therefore, it is necessary to cultivate social capital in the western industrial clusters. From the reality of western economy development, the government should play a leading role in nurturing supply main body in the network of western industrial clusters, and increase the number of nodes in order to change the situation that there is the lack of social capital in the western industry clusters.
