Study On Strategic Choices And Countermeasures Of Urbanization Development In Jiangxi Province

Urbanization is becoming a trend cannot be held back in these 100 years all over the world and the necessary regularity phenomenon as the economy's progress and also the important form to promote the civilization process, which is approved by the urbanization history of the advanced country. Urbanization is closely related to the social economic development of a country or a region. Economic development is the basis of urbanization, which is the result of economic development. On the other hand, urbanization will lead to economic development. They will interdependence,mutual promotion and restrict each other. Urbanization is important to stimulate domestic demand, to maintain economic development, to transfer the life styles and to improve the quality of life Chinese people, and so on.At present, the level of urbanization of China is much lower than that of economic development. However, compared to other provinces and cities, we can find the level of urbanization in Jiangxi province is even lower, there are a main batch of problems: Jiang Xi's urbanization level is lower than the national average level; "large and medium-sized cities" are lack of development in a multi-level network system of the town, the population of the largest urban is far more than the one of the second largest urban; The large lag in space distribution between the southern and northern towns; The urbanization, with irrational structure and scale, and without a stronger integrated function of town system; The urbanization, with irrational industrial structure, and without support from leading industries.Therefore, speeding up the process of urbanization has become an important strategic task for Jiangxi governments from now on and even a long time in the future.The paper has six chapters in the structure.On the basis of research work done on urbanization theories, this thesis thoroughly analyses the present conditions of urbanization and the constraints of urbanization development in Jiangxi province, and deep discusses four strategic choices should be noted during the process of Jiangxi's urbanization, which contain path selection, pattern choice, speed choice and the selection of the leading industries, and puts forward three countermeasures that refer to urban plan, industrial restructuring and system innovation. Based on the analysis above, we can find that it is necessary to forward the urbanization process in Jiangxi province and we should determine a reasonable pattern of urbanization and the industrial structure at the appropriate speed, and medium-sized cities and small towns should be coordinately developing. We should take the road of urbanization guiding by government and mainly dominating by market. In addition, it is very important to reform and innovate the related systems and regulations for Jiangxi's urbanization development.
