Study On Competitiveness Of Shanxi Circulation Industry

The circulation industry has been growing as the leading industry of the national economy. The development of the circulation industry in Shanxi provides a new way for the change of the economic growth mode. However, the current development of Shanxi circulation industry shows that: our province has not fully understood and utilized the industry's leading role. Competitiveness level of Shanxi circulation industry is still in the lower level. The research on competitiveness of Shanxi Circulation industry has strong theoretical and practical significance.The issue analyses development status of the circulation industry in Shanxi Province. According to related competitiveness theory about circulation industry, the paper establishes the competitiveness evaluation indicator system of circulation industry. By applying and comparing with the indicator system, it evaluates the competitiveness of circulation industry in Shanxi as the empirical analysis. On the basis of identifying the weak links in competitiveness, it proposes some effective countermeasures to improve the competitiveness of circulation industry in Shanxi.The core contents of this paper contain: it establishes an indicator system that has three hierarchies, 21 single indicators; it applies established competitiveness evaluation indicator system to evaluate competitiveness of the circulation industry in Shanxi province. This design enables the evaluation can be more comprehensive and more scientific. The indicator system has been designed into three large index systems. They are: the evaluation system of competitiveness source, that of the real level competitiveness and that of development trend. Both are not only independent of each other but also have logical links, each of them can be used alone as well as be used wholly to measure the competitiveness' comprehensive index. The paper has applied IAHP method to determine the index weight distribution. The evaluation result shows that: the competitiveness comprehensive index of Shanxi circulation industry is 79.3 points, slightly lower than the national level (100). Based on the analysis and contrast, we can identify main issues that affect competitiveness of Shanxi circulation industry. There are several efforts for Shanxi province to enhance the competitiveness of the circulation industry: establishing complete policies and regulations, promoting the rapid development of modern circulation methods, speeding up the development of rural circulation industry and so on.
