With China's comprehensive financial market opening to the outside world, the domestic banking sector faces severe challenges. Study on the competitiveness of commercial banks, both for the riching evaluation of the competitiveness and for the perfecting the theory, or for helping China's commercial banks to increasing competitiveness level, is of great theoretical and practical significance.This paper, on basis of the background of China's financial reform and development, the aim of the research and the significance were expatiated; Then, through the domestic and international research, it systematically reviewed the competitiveness of domestic and foreign commercial banks theory,expounded the characteristics of commercial banks competitiveness, and defined the concept of competitiveness. After this, on the basis of former chapter and on the premise of evaluation principles, a relatively integral the system of evaluation indicators of commercial banks' competitive competence was established. After that, on te basis of Entropy Law and Group AHP, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, this paper established a China's commercial banks evaluation model with the combination of objective and subjective method, it had avoided not only the non-scientific nature of subjective evaluation but also the blindness of objective evaluation. In order to improve the operational efficiency, this paper had putted this evaluation model into systems. Nine listed commercial banks were selected as specimen being evaluated in the period of 2007. Finally the evaluation results is analyzed pointedly and an outlook was proposed for subsequent researches.
