Study On Employment Of The Floating Population Based On Shanghai's Industry Structure Adjustment

The industrial structure of the region is the importance of the region economy structure to constitute the part; it is an internal factor that decides economic function in region and properties. It is also the core content of urban economic structure. Since the Reform and Opening, it is always the important substance of Shanghai's economic development to adjust and optimize the industrial structure. Since 1990s, Shanghai takes the industrial development policy of "tertiary, secondary, primary", industrial structure has begun to transform from adaptable adjustment to strategic readjustment gradually, and Strategic adjustment of industrial structure has achieved great accomplishments. Shanghai's industrial structure that is reasonable day by day has become a powerful dynamic to promote the rapid, sustained and healthy development of Shanghai's economy.Population floating, as a socio-economic phenomenon prevailing in this region, is expressed remarkable in period of the historical change and economical activity. The size of population floating has been expanding rapidly in China since the Reform and Opening, especially 1990s. Initial Population floating mainly stemmed from planned economy system's breaking, but industrial structure has become a very important factor of influencing Population floating with the deeply development of Chinese market economic reform. With the development of the economy, more and more floating population come to large cities to hunt for job. Shanghai is one of the cities where many floating population chose to come. However, the size and structure of economic floating population in Shanghai is whether accord with Shanghai's industrial structure adjustment or not, and what problems are there in economic floating population's employment? The thesis attempts to find out the problems in floating employment, and gives the solutions to the problems.This paper consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 is the introduction; Chapter 2 is an analysis of the effect of Shanghai's industry structure adjustment on employment; Chapter 3 gives a study about Shanghai's floating population employment; Chapter 4 analyzes the problem of floating population employment based on Shanghai's industry structure adjustment, and gives the solutions to the problems; Chapter 5 is the summary and discussion of this paper.
