With the progress of world economic integration and the advent of the era of knowledge-based economy, the position and function of human resource management is enhanced day by day. As the employee incentive mechanism is an important component of the modern human resource management, it is absolutely necessary to adopt this mechanism to increase the core competitiveness of enterprises. It is a great subject to domestic enterprises to establish a scientific incentive mechanism, which can be suitable for current situation of china and can meet the development needs of enterprises in an economic integration and a knowledge-based economy environment. But tied by the traditional management thoughts, there exist many problems during the process of incentive practice in most of China's enterprises, such as ignoring employees' real needs, adopting single tactic to satisfy the employees,etc. All these haven't played a real role, but bring negative influences to the employees' enthusiasm and the enterprises' production efficiency.Based on the ground of an extensive research into various incentive theories in both domestic and international areas, this paper adopt the knowledge and theories of economy, management and statistics. Firstly, It analysises the current incentive practice in China's enterprises, the existing problems, the origins and the possible adverse effects of these problems. Then it brings forward the opinion that it is necessary to create or re-build the current incentive mechanism for China's enterprises to meet employees' multi-dimensional needs and improve enterprises' competitiveness in the situation of international competition. Secondly, on the basis of summering the advantages and disadvantages of traditional incentive theories, aiming at the current problems which exist in most of China's enterprises' incentive mechanism, and from the angle of multi-dimensional needs of employee, this paper put the suggestion to establish an multi-incentive mechanism, make a description of the formulation, the circulate mode and the follow-up works of this multi-incentive mechanism. Lastly, this paper use the mode in enterprise A, and formulate a questionnaire of the needs and satisfaction degree of employees, through analysisng the result, finally find out where the problems exist in enteprise A's incentive mechanism. And the enterprise, at our suggestion, should reform its current mechanism,build muti-incentive mechanism to adjust efficent tactics to satisfy employees' muti-dimensional needs, so that it can make full use the employees' potentional ability, thus greatly enhancing its competitive power.
