With the coming of the 21st century, the human society has entered the knowledge economic age, in which knowledge has become the vital factor of modern enterprises' management and their existing and development will more depend on the possession, creation and use of knowledge. However, basically, the creation and application of knowledge has to rely on high-efficient and high-quality knowledge-based employees. Recently, increasing numbers of knowledge-based enterprises have been emerging and growing and knowledge-based employees have rapidly risen. However, as many enterprises lack an efficient system of managing these employees, their management remains at the traditional rigid stage or they only rely on some unsystematically soft management methods, which result in the potential and idle condition of their employees' production power. Some knowledge-based employees even have to leave the enterprise because they cannot bring their talents into full play. This has a large influence on enterprises' competitive power. Therefore, how to efficiently and systematically manage knowledge-based employees is the problem that many managers are concerned about.This essay is a try based on this point. It is hoped that a systematical, comprehensive and universally applicable management system of knowledge-based employees will be constructed on the basis of the international intellects researches on the soft management methods of knowledge-based employees. It will provide theoretical guidance and technological support to enterprises to manage knowledge-based employees.This essay will mainly discuss from the following aspects: 1. knowledge-based employees oriented soft management. First, it will strictly distinguish the definition of knowledge-based employees. Then it will systematically argue on the soft management according to their particular characteristics and make the management more focused. 2. It does not restrict to the sporadic discussion on the soft management of knowledge-based employees and constructed in a systematical way and provides comprehensive and more practical advice. 3. It will present a comprehensive discussion on the soft training which lacks in the current soft management researches as an important theoretical support to the system.
