Study On The Digital Urban Management Of Zhuji County, Zhejiang Province

Since the openness and reform, the city construction and development of China have turned out a new face. The competition among cities is obvious. As a kind of government's function and an available tool of building urban environment and competence, urban management is more significant. Although, China's traditional urban management has gained much improvement in its process of evolution, many problems still exist. However, in advance by leaps and bounds of the development process, the style and principle of urban management is obviously not marching with the city's progress, the urban management of city becomes increasingly disjointed with each other. In the mean time, information technology and digital urban construction have obtained great achievement in recent years. And with this background, as a creation in the field of urban management, the Digital Urban Management (DUM) emerges. The research on DUM is to propitiously accelerate its development, supplement the theory of urban management and provide guidelines for the practice.This paper analyses the DUM of county of Zhuji based on the theories of urban management. Taking studies on the urban management firstly, this paper has made the summary to the patterns and the flaws of our country's traditional urban management on the basement of concepts and contents of modern urban management, proposes the questions. And also, it introduces the digital city elementary theory, technical constitutions and the application systems. This paper mainly focuses on present substantial evidence of city of Zhuji DUMM. The object of DUMM construction involves "Double Axis Center", the database of geographic information, the networks of information sources, the reasonable systematic process. Then, the paper discusses several problems in the development of the DUMM, such as the lack of related laws, the inefficiency of publicizing, inadequate utilization of information resources. At last, it presents a series of suggestions to resolve existent key problems: improving the construction of laws and regulations of DUMM, strengthening the staff training, building up the special local DUMM system, taking modern information technique as means, making use of the collection of wireless data method etc.
