The repeal of agricultural taxes is a major event throughout the history of China's rural social development. It has given an enduring and far-reaching impact on the rural social strata. To research the impact of the repeal of agricultural taxes, which is helpful to fully consider the interests from different social strata, promote the system innovation, and resolve the problems of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers. With the use of field surveys and interviews approaches, this paper try to analysis the impact of the repeal of agricultural taxes in China's rural areas from the perspective of social stratification. It is found in the study that the repeal of agricultural taxes has influenced different social strata in the rural areas: for the agricultural laborers, which raises their labour productivity in the short term, but which is detrimental to its large-scale land operation in the long term; for the villagers who are working or doing business outside, which eases their worries, but slow down the process of their citizenship in the long run; for rural administrators, which improves the relationship between cadres and masses in the short term, but weakens the provision ability of public goods and services in the long run; for other sectors, which cuts the three arbitrary reduction of capital expenditure within the short term, but affects their enjoyment of public products and services quality in the long run. Overall, the agricultural labourers is the class who has been affected most by the repeal of agricultural taxes; the greatest benefits from the repeal of agricultural taxes in rural areas is the process of promoting political democracy; the biggest problem from the repeal of agricultural taxes in rural areas is funding issues on the public goods and services. To the end, the recommendations on adjusting the social structure and improving the social development after the repeal of agricultural taxes are given as the follows: firstly, agricultural labourers'benefits protection is of the first importance to the solution of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers; secondly, take rural workers'citizenship as the breakthrough point for the issues concerning agriculture, rural areas, and farmers; thirdly, take improving stimulating restraint mechanism to rural administrators as an important measure to the problems of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers.
