Development Strategy Investigation In Suzhou Service Industry

With the impetus of economic globalization and regional integration, the service industry, which functions as one important pillar industry of the whole national economy, has now been confronted with profound development opportunities. This paper intends to analyze the status quo of the service industry both home and abroad, so as to make an objective comment on the relevant research advances of the domestic and international service industries, including the conception, the division, the correlated theories, as well as the development modes of the service industry. In addition, individual cases of those representative places such as Suzhou are selected for the research, on the basis of a deepening comprehension and cognition of the service industry. As a coastal city which opened to the outside world earlier than the others, the region (Suzhou) enjoys a relatively higher level of economic internationalization, while at the same time, receives a more noticeable influence by the economic globalization. This paper, taking the advantage of a group of fundamental analytical approaches, i.e., statistics, economics and public administration, makes an evaluation on the status quo and level of the development of the service industry in this region, and also analyzes the trends, the advantages and disadvantages of the service industry under the economic globalization. Besides, the basic theory and framework of the development of the service industry are used in order to help carrying out an intensive probing and pondering of the development strategies and measures of the service industry in this region, with advices of strong pertinence and operability brought forward at last.
