Analysis Of LUCC And Socio-economic Driving Forces In Hubei Province

Land use-cover change (LUCC) is the important part and the main reason of the global environmental change. Since the 1990s, the research of LUCC has become the important field of global environmental change ,at the same time, it's the hotspot of China's resource science, geography, remote sensing information science, and other multi-disciplinary research At present,in the research of the socio-economic driving force, the effect of socio-economic mechanism and the impact of land-use decision-making has been taken more attention.Hubei Province located at the middle of our country, which is situated at the Yangtze River middle reaches. The Hubei Province land use-cover's characteristic displays that the land utilization structure is unreasonable, the land utilization efficiency is low, land cover condition is not good and so on, these questions are puzzling Hubei Province's economic development for a long time, and have become the significant bottleneck for restricting the Hubei Province economic growth.In view of the fact that the present universal existence land utilization is unreasonable condition, first the analysis to the Hubei Province land use-cover change condition is carried on, then we analysis the reasons of this change through the empirical study from the part of the social-economy driving influence, thus on the one hand we can obtain the optimal programmer of the land utilization structural adjustment, on the other hand we can seek the direction and the measure of Hubei Province region land utilization, and forecast the change tendency of arable land in the future over a period of time.This paper is divided into four main parts:The first part is the introduction. The status, progress and direction for land use-cover research at home and abroad are discussed, and the significance of LUCC in Hubei Province is clarified.The second part is theoretical research. In the text it has introduced the regional overview of Hubei Province, and discussed the features of LUCC in Hubei Province in detail, which contain Overall features, regional characteristics, time and space characteristic features. In addition, the drive mechanism of LUCC is briefly expounded on.Part III is empirical research. Through the analysis of socio-economic driving forces of LUCC, we analysis the change of arable land in Hubei Province and socio-economic driving factors quantitatively, then we get the linear regression model, so we can forecast the change tendency of arable land in the future over a period of time.Part IV is conclusion. Finally, the optimal programmer of the land utilization structural adjustment is introduced in Hubei Province, and we put forward constructive views on the directions and the measures of district land use in Hubei Province.
