Land Use Dynamic Change In Yan'an And Its Driving Forces

The study on the change of land use and land cover is the research focus in the current subjects of geography and ecology. It is also a starting point and foothold in the study of the change of global environment. This article starts with the study on the change of regional land use and land cover, select Yan'an City which is located in the loess plateau as the object, briefly introduces the natural condition, social and economic situation of Yan'an City. According to the original land use data of Yan'an from 1996 to 2007, the article not only studies the situation, structural features, the range and speed of the change of land use in Yan'an City since 1996 but also further analyzes concrete conditions of the type of land use in various districts and counties through analyzing and sorting out the original data. Based on the analysis of the features of change of land use in Yan'an and by establishing a quantity of coupling relationship among land use change, economic activity and policy response, it further discusses the changing mechanism of land use under the driving force of socio-economic and policy factors. This study may provide a new basis for the change of land use and man-land relationship in Yan'an City in recent times. Through a series of studies on the situation of land use change and its drive mechanism, we have reached some relevant conclusions, and put forward a few feasible solutions for some insufficiencies on land use and planning within this district.The main conclusions of this paper:(1)By analyzing the change of regional land use in Yan'an from 1996 till now, we can find the four most apparent types of land respectively are: farmland, woodland, orchard land, grass land. During the stages of research, we find that the farm land presents a tendency of speedily reduction with a large scale, the grass land presents a tendency of slightly reduction with a small scale, the woodland and orchard land presents a tendency of increase.(2)The article has found that the change of land use in Yan'an City between 1996 and 2004 is the most apparent.(3)It concretely analyzes apparent differences of the change on the type of land use in various counties of Yan'an City, finding that counties with apparent differences of change on land use are Wuqi County, Zichang County, Yanchuan County, Ansai County, Yanchang County, Zhidan County and Luochuan County.(4)Through the analyse of related socio-economic data within a period of time, the article concludes that the change of land use in Yan'an City within recent years is mainly driven by factors of policy, society and economy. It elaborately explains the mechanical system of factors in these aspects like economy, policy and society.(5)The article find some problems such as unreasonable structure of land, increasingly prominent contradiction on supply and demand of the land, etc, which exist in land use and land planning of Yan'an City since 1996. It also brings forward some countermeasures to these problems.
