The rise of regional tourism cooperation makes the competition in some regions perdue. But the irrational region-centered concept still exists in the process of regional tourism developing. Either a single cooperation or competition can realize the sustainable development of regional tourism. Therefore, it will be of great significance to conduct a further exploration to the co-opetition development of regional tourism from the aspects of competition and cooperation.Standing on the whole view of competition and cooperation among regional tourism sites, the study took organization economics as a theoretical analysis tool and the research on regional tourism co-opetition organization as a carrier to carry out a systematic research on regional tourism co-opetition drive, path and benefit distribution. It then formed a relatively complete theoretical frame on regional tourism co-opetition research, pointing out that the developing process of regional tourism co-opetition is in fact a continuous process that the regional tourism sites revolve around the regional tourism organization rent to look for a rent, create a rent and distribute the rent. The thesis takes the "4+2" tourism co-opetition development in the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone (Guangxi) as an example to verify the theoretical mode of regional tourism co-opetition. The "4+2" means the four tourism cities in Beibu Gulf region: Nanning, Beihai, Qinzhou, Fangchenggang and two other cities outside beibu Gulf region: Yulin, Chongzuo. In accordance with the theory mentioned above, the whole thesis falls into five chapters. The first chapter is introduction, showing the background and significance of the study, the research aims, methods, concepts and innovation. It also reviews the relevant research literature domestic and abroad. The second chapter constructs theoretical supports and forms the theoretical mode. Taking organization as a research carrier, Chapter 2 introduces and analyzes the present organization economics theory. After the definitions, the thesis shapes a complete analysis frame on regional tourism co-opetition theory to guide the whole research. Chapter three analyzes the regional tourism co-opetition theoretical mode in detail, mainly dealing with three problems. The first problem concerns regional tourism co-opetition drive, which can be divided into motive and condition. The author first displays what a "regional tourism organization rent" is, and then explains the necessary complementary conditions for the development of co-opetition among regional tourism sites. The second problem is regional tourism co-opetition path. With the pre-condition of constructing a game-playing mode in regional tourism, the author proposes that in order to maximize the rent among regional tourism sites, they should set up a co-operation relationship, i.e. tourism sites should inter-cooperate to create a rent. Meanwhile, the author also further demonstrates the specific path to "create a rent" from the integration of product, market and management. The third problem handles with beneficial distribution of regional tourism co-opetition. To ensure the sustainability of co-opetition among regional tourism sites, the author proposes his principles and thoughts to distribute regional tourism co-opetition benefits and construct a system to distribute regional tourism organization rent, i.e. the rent distribution system. Chapter four is the application research on regional tourism co-opetition theoretical mode. In this chapter, the author takes the example of the co-opetition development of the "4+2" tourism alliance in the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone (Guangxi) to detailedly analyze and discuss the drive, status quo and path of the formation of the alliance, which preliminary proves the theoretical analysis mode constructed. Chapter five is a summary, briefly summarizing the main points of the thesis and bringing forward the shortcomings of the research and the direction for further research on regional tourism co-opetition development.
