Telecommunication Engineering Project Management Model

Telecommunication Engineering Project is an important base of the national economy and the social substance culture in the era of the knowledge economy. The traditional model of the engineering construction had actively contributed to the national economy for a long period of time. But the engineering construction based model can't handle the massive and complicated scope of project which is coming along with the economy globalization and technology quickly development.Based on the basics of the theory and methodology of project management organization, latest status of the theory implementation and development, organization structure theory (Assignment Theory), the paper puts more focus on analyzing the theory of project management and method. With those studies, the paper gives out the further research on relevant theory of project management model. By fully understanding of the concept of project management, linking the research result of the theory and methodology of project management organization, and considering the real situation of project management applying in China telecommunication projects, the paper claims the key issues of project management in China telecommunication projects, therefore, a fresh new model of project management is introduced, which is called - PMC project management model. The paper outlines the model's advantages, working scope and applicable scenarios by thoroughly analyzing the concept and its characteristics of project management contractor model (PMC model). A mathematic model has been built to completely explain the cost structure of PMC and provide a recommendation based on a case study of the telecommunication operator's projects. This model could be used as the special reference to project management model in China, especially in China telecommunication field.
