Since China joined the WTO, large number of foreign products have poured into our country. With the logistics and capital flow as the core competitiveness, distribution channels of high-level IT product in homogenization are intensive and exceptionally competitive. Major distribution channels will avoid the simple price competition and try to provide the value-added services to the customers with innovation and integration. Nowadays, the distribution channels of IT product are getting flat. As the result, the problem - how to build a supply chain management and distribution of customization service - will become the main issue of competition in distribution of IT products.On the basis of the classical management theory, this paper investigates value-added distribution channels of IT products in the following aspects. While global distribution channels coming into China, the majority of IT products distributors have to bear the enormous pressure of market competition, and some of them are even hard to survive. Constructive suggestions are given to solve the problems in IT product distribution channels.Based on the SWOT theory, this paper sets about with the analysis of competition environment of IT products distribution channels and analyzes the weaknesses and strengths of IT products distribution channels as well as the external competition environment. In order to achieve cross-selling of different products, this paper has discussed how to enhance capabilities of value-added distribution, the penetration and expansion of end-users, and how to find the true requirements of customers and create new value for them.
