| Nowadays, the competition in telecommunication market is fierce. More and more fixed-line services are substituted by mobile services. Price becomes the focus of attention because the telecom services present highly same characteristics. Fixed network carriers notice that rational tariff packages can attract more customers, increase the loyalty of them and decrease the loss. They also find that one of the effective methods to solve their business problem is to evaluate and launch some proper tariff packages.However, these fixed network carriers, especially their branches, have some great disadvantages when they design tariff packages, such as ignoring costs and making casual decisions. They rarely pre-evaluate and select the new tariff packages before launch and seldom optimize and liquidate the present packages scientifically.To face the challenges above, this paper analyzes and summarizes various main tariff packages of fixed network carries, establishes index system and model, evaluates these packages with this model and helps fixed network carriers to upgrade their management ability. The content of this paper can be listed as follows:Chapter one brings forward the background, meaning, content and organization of this paper. Chapter two theoretically addresses the evaluation methods, calculational rules and evaluation procedure of main tariff packages. Chapter three analyzes 151 tariff packages of fixed network carriers and summarizes 16 sorts of main packages including fixed-line telephone services, broadband services and bundle services. Then, this chapter states the idea of evaluation model. Chapter four discusses the evaluation index system of main tariff packages and scoring criterion in detail. Chapter five mainly summarizes the fruit and question of evaluation model through applying it to a fixed network company, and then puts forward some suggestions about further evaluation. As an appendix, chapter six presents the discount model of main tariff packages in fixed network carries. |
