Generally, from an economic history point to view the society, or from a social history perspective to view economic, it should be comprehensive in theory. But it may be only a point of view or an aspect of research in practical. However, from a technical history point to view economic, and from the economic history point to view society, such studies may be thinking more clearly and more distinctive context.In this paper, discussion and analysis focus on the development features of textile handicrafts in Jiangnan area during Song and Yuan Dynasties period, especially the silk and textile industry and interaction effects between region economy and textile handicrafts. By overview the natural condition and history of Jiangnan area, as well as economic and political condition in Song and Yuan Dynasties period, and other social environment, which may impact the textile and handicraft, it is a particular period, region-specific background. The textile handicrafts and regional development between the mutual relations is special.Jiangnan region experienced a long history of development, as well as unique natural conditions. In Song and Yuan Dynasties period, textile and handicraft industries in the region have provided a prerequisite for development and the foundation.
