Research On Competitive Performance Of Enterprise Clusters Based On Value Chain Analysis

With the development of economic globalization, the competiton of market has changed from the competition of separate enterprises to the competition of Enterprise clusters as well as their value chain. Enterprise cluster is a territorial network between enterprises and outside market.The competition of value chains became the key point getting longer-term competitive advantages.In the past, the evaluation of the enterprise cluster's competitive performance was only localed in qualitative analysis, so the quantitative analysis was not enough. According to it, the embedded research was carried. The value chain modle of enterprise clusters based on coordinating network and the indexes system of evaluation of enterprise cluster's competitive performance were constructed.It was hoped to provide some references for the quantitative analysis of enterprise clusters.First, this paper introduces some researchs on the background of competitive advantage of enterprise cluster, then, summarizes the objective, meaning, content, methods of this research.Second, this paper analyses the theoretic base of competitive performance included the theory of enterprise cluster comeptitive advantage, network organization and efficiency of enterprise cluster, and value chain.Besides, the author puts forward a dynamic value chain model of enterprise cluster based on network organization.Then, this paper defines the conception and the range of comepetitive performance of enterprise cluster. Through analyzing the competitive advantage of enterprise cluster with the value chain method, the author constructs a standard assesment system and the main indexs of assessment, also points out the process of the assessment.Lastly, this paper shows how to use the model of evaluation with the example of evaluation of enterprise cluster's competitive performance in Tianjin Binhai New Area. On one hand, it can help us discover their special competitve advangtages and develop them ceaselessly; on another hand, the author puts forward some suggestions of how to make up some shortages so that enhance competitiveness of the Tianjin Binhai New Area.
