After 1990's,The quick change of market needs and continuously deepening of economy globalization leads to profound reformation on the thoughts of corporation management.Under this background, the theory of supply chain management (SCM) emerges as the times demand. In it, supplier management play an important role. While paying attention to supplier management, we have to think about the main question of supplier evaluation and selectionSupplier evaluation and selection, is the key link for corporation to construct and strengthen its supply chain to array resources to match its strategy. VI division of SEIKO EPSON Coporation, in its development of business, found it is urgently necessary to set up a rather reasonable, objective, scientific supplier evaluating system to manage suppliers better.In this thesis, after illustrating supplier evaluating theory of SCM and analyzing supplier evaluating system and its foundation in details, the author endeavor to pick up appropriate indexs as supplier evaluating basis for VI division, basing on real facts with studying and understanding VI's history and business characteristics. A supplier evaluating indexs system with factors belonging to Management, Envirionment, Quality, Cost, Delivery as core, is put forward. It adapts to the needs of supplier evaluating from hub Manufacture Corporation and can solve the puzzle of VI division. Also can it provide references for supplier selection later .There is an evaluating example.The supplier evaluating matrix in this thesis can give reference for those corporations in same genre.
