Along with China's WTO entrance and foreign trading reform thorough, more and more manufacture enterprises carry on the foreign trade exportation with the overseas customers directly and voluntarily, less and less of their dependence on the foreign trading companies transfer exporting for them, the overseas customers also establish their offices in China to purchase what they want in the domestic directly, even if they have no office in China, they also prefer to purchase the products from factories directly. They engaged in the product purchase export business and the correlation necessary service, moreover enjoys the exportation tax refund also. It is therefore not surprising to find that the small and medium-size foreign trade companies are the ones that will be the first to be affected, and typically in the harshest way. What's the solution for them? How to solve the problem for their surviving? How to take a place between manufacturer and buyer? All these problems should be faced, be considered, and be studied by all small and medium-size foreign trade companies now. This dissertation will generalized the topic that how does Electronic Commerce be applied in the small and medium-size foreign trade enterprise from these aspects, they are the characteristics of small and medium-size foreign trade companies, their existence status, their currently embarrassing situation in, the e-commerce's characteristics, advantages, and it's development trends. The dissertation introduced some relative basic theories, including E-commerce theory and foreign trade theory. The E-commerce theory mainly was made expounds on E-commerce's definition, classification, characteristics, the development situation and the trend of development. The foreign trade theory mainly was carried on the analysis from its definition and its similarity and difference with the domestic trade after careful examination and comparison, moreover, the dissertation introduced the influence which E- commerce brought to the foreign trade. After introducing the basis theory, the dissertation had made an analysis on the present situation of the small and medium-size foreign trade enterprise. We first introduced the development course and the evolution of the small and medium-size foreign trade companies. We also made expounds on their concepts, the category, characteristics, and the challenge and the opportunity they are facing. In addition, we set forth the difficulties which urgently need to be solved。Last, take JiangSu WeiTe Group as an example, further discuss the effects after application of E-Commerce.Through the present paper analysis, we hoped to discuss the application of electronic commerce in the small and medium-size foreign trade enterprise, and also we hope to find a solution for the existence and development of the small and medium-size foreign trade companies.
