Study On Influential Factors And Utmost Scale Of Urban Land Expansion Of Yichang

Our country is in the fast developing stage of urbanization and industrialization. With the fast developing of social economy and the improvement of urbanization level, the demands of urban land will continue to increase, so the urban expansion may be inevitable trend. However, most of the land occupied by urban development in our country is high quality cultivated land surrounding city at present, this is one disaster after another undoubtedly to our country because of the tensional man-land relationship. Therefore, after realizing the contradiction between urban development and urban land, studying influential factors of urban land expansion and land use scale becomes the focus recently in academe, and it is significant to protect cultivated land resources and promote sustainable development of land use.Based on the research achievements, this paper analyzes influential factors of urban land expansion of Yichang and builds model of land expansion utmost scale according to present situation of land in Yichang with the methods of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis. Finally, the utmost scale of urban land expansion about Yichang city is obtained.This Paper altogether divides into five chapters.First chapter is the introduction, which summarizes the research background, significance, the domestic and foreign research literature, research content, the research technique as well as the technical route.Second chapter is the interrelated concept and theoretic rationale. In this chapter, it defines some concepts and simply analyzes the related theory on the urban using land scale such as position theory, core - edge development theory, gather economic theory, land reward progressive change rule and threshold theory.Third chapter is the analysis of influential factors and the utmost scale of urban land expansion. At first, qualitative analysis of influential factors of urban land expansion is analyzed from three aspects of natural factors, economic factors and social factors. Then several common methods of the utmost scale model of expansion of urban land are analyzed.Fourth chapter is the research on influential factors and the utmost scale of urban land expansion in Yichang. This chapter is divided into three parts. In the first part, geographical position and socio-economic situation of Yichang are introduced, and on this basis the trend and speed of urban land expansion in Yichang are analyzed. In the second part, such analysis about influential factors of urban land expansion in Yichang is analyzed: Firstly, from two aspects of social and economic development factors, qualitative analysis of influential factors of urban land expansion is analyzed. Secondly, the quantitative method is employed. At first, the influential degree of factors affecting the land use is estimated by Grey Correlation Analysis. Then the predominant factors are judged through the principal components analysis. Finally, the regression model is obtained and interpreted through the stepwise regression. In the third part, the utmost scale of built-up area in Yichang is predicted according to multiple linear regression model and the prediction model of per capita land area.Fifth chapter summarizes the main conclusion of this paper, gives some advises for policy and discusses the insufficiency in the paper and the aspects which should further be pondered.
