The Applied Study Of Fuzzy Decision Making Theory In ERP System Selection

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is an integrated and comprehensive information management system, which covers the basic functions of manufacturing, operation and management in an enterprise. ERP is the core software system of enterprise Informationization. The use of ERP is a main symbol of enterprise Informationization. Nevertheless, while selecting the right type of ERP software is the determinant element for a successful implementation.This article aims at studying the selection process and establishment of evaluation system for ERP software. On the basis of bibliography and data calculation, using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and fuzzy math theory, a multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model has been developed and the transformation from quantitative evaluation to qualitative evaluation has been realized. It's easy to be implemented and distinguished. Quality evaluation can be conducted not only in some selected aspects of the ERP system but also the whole of it, according to the demand of the enterprise.The contribution of this article is: The writer explored the feasibility of using AHP with integrated multi-level fuzzy evaluation for the selection of ERP system. When the integrated ERP Evaluation System is established, through pair comparison of all indicators, the importance of various indicators to the quality of the system can be identified, thus different weights are given. Then experts select the comments from the comments group and gain the subjection degree of all indicators. As such, the one-sidedness and contingent incorrectness of subjective understanding could be avoided so the result can be more objective, fair, scientific and realistic, which provides a reliable decision making basis for the successful selection and implementation of ERP system.
